Shop Small: Christmas Shopping Guide

Can you believe it's that time of the year where we start talking about the C word (don't worry, not that one). This year has been a tough one, especially so for all the amazing indie brands out there. This year we though we'd shake things up and instead of tooting our own horn, we've decided to share some of the hard-working, female fronted small businesses that inspire us everyday.

If you're looking for some Christmas Shopping inspiration, then look no further than this blog post. So without further-a-do...

First up, we've got the dreamy Made to Order Fashion brand, 'By Megan Crosby'. All of Megan's clothes are designed by herself and handmade in the UK by either herself or her teeny, tiny team of freelance seamstresses. Using sustainable, deadstock fabrics and environmentally friendly fabric dye, Megan's gorgeous creations are the perfect gift for an eco-conscious babe.

Next up we've got the lovely Eleanor Bowmer, who's work we absolutely love. Whether you're looking for funky prints, marvelous mugs or simply a cracking Christmas card, you will no doubt find a vibrant and thoughtful gift to suit that special someone.

Next up on our Shop Small Christmas Guide is the wonderful Emma Warren Design. Emma's gorgeous embroidered items are inspired by teenage diaries, sticker books and her love for animals. All of Emma's designs are embroidered in her Gloucestershire studio made to order to avoid waste. We love her cute and sassy slogans and we hope you do too!

It's time for some body lovin' with the next small business we've really been digging at the moment. Meg Garrod is a body positive, feminist illustrator who's got us loving all of our wobbly, bobbly bits regardless of unattainable beauty standards. Meg's Etsy store stocks a range of different prints and merchandise inspired by themes of self love and feminism and we definitely think she's worth checking out!

Saturday by Megan Ellaby was launched back in 2018 by, you guessed it, the mega babe Megan Ellaby. Each piece has been designed with Megan's love of colour and love for having fun with fashion without compromising on the quality. All of her funky pieces have been designed in the UK and manufactured in Europe using ethical and responsible factories. Do you know a groovy babe who would rock one of her pieces?

Thunder Egg are your go-to place for unique and exciting clothing, ranging from vintage-inspired frocks and fun 90s style clothing. Everything in their store is hand-picked and curated for their diverse customers and we totally love it! You can also shop some of our products on the Thunder Egg website too!

Roop is a UK boutique that is based in Manchester, founded by Natasha 'Roop' Fernandes Anjo. Natasha handmakes all handbags and accessories using quality, and luxury fabrics making them perfect gift for someone special.

Next up, we have the folks over at Jungle Club Clothing. We love their groovy designs that are all handmade and printed in their Sheffield studio, doing that Slow Fashion thang. Our fave product HAS to be their personalised pet sweatshirts and t-shirts.

And last, but certainly not least is a bit of shameless self-promo. We think our fun pins and accessories will make the perfect gift for any loved. Whether it's cute cats or firey feminist pins, we've got a product to match any interest. You can shop them here

Shopping small can make the world of difference for small businesses, and can level up your Christmas gifting skills too. We hope you've enjoyed this blog post  please do make sure to check out all of the small businesses that we've mentioned!
